Description

"It had been a couple of years since the new lords had arrived in Northsea and Zrie looked out from his mountain fortress and into the outskirts of their domain. He felt a fresh spring breeze caress his robes and saw a hawk floating gracefully on the winds. "Ah spring," he murmered, "the perfect time to test a lord's resolve... just like back when I was alive." " This picture chronologically lies between "Prelude" and "Siege" and is the second in a planned series of 5 (Prelude and Siege being 1 and 3 in the series and both in my gallery here). All 3d except a bit of the mountain on the left. Thanks go to Bloodsong for the freebie horse skeletons. Thanks for any and all comments (appreciated), hope you like it.

Whow, this can't be all one scene. That would mean a bryce file of gigabytes. Is it... I just can't believe that please explain how you do such mass scenes. Thanks, Johannes

A "Making of Siege" page (Siege = one of my other pics here) is on the way. Hopefully it will help explain a lot of what I did.

Wow, you don't do anything small, do you? The scenery alone would have been impressive enough, but the army just stumps me. You're making me not want to work in 3D any more.
By the way...you have kind of a stiff pose on the 382nd skeleton from the left. (JK)

An undead invasion eh? That castle in the background is perfect. It gives the idea that maybe it's ruler started the war...or maybe it's letting the udead conquer.
