Description

I created this scene in 3D Studio Max 1.2- I finally figured out how to use volumetric lighting. Let me know what you think- Thanks, J.J. the 3D Freak.

Looks very good, but volumetric lights in space are extremly unrealistic, except in nebulas, why? you can figure it out yourself I think. Space=no atmosphere, light beam effect=possible only in atmospheric enviroments, volumetric effects too. The problem is, laser beams should be invisible too if fired in space. This is the reason why I called the weapon "Dispersor" in my picture, not "Laser". :-).

LCD- Thanks for the scientific facts, I'll take them into consideration when doing my next space scene.
