Description
Far from the dispora of man are the Sint'trula, a alien race that explored the gateway from our own universe many millions of years ago. They too now call this 3 light year wide artifical universe home.
In great organic planet/cities they live, hundled within the circular pods. These pods, hundreds of miles across, are each sovereign states. War is a way of life, some feuds can be traced back to the earliest explorers, before the planet/cities even evolved.
These huge sentient planets float along the magnetic lines of force upwelling from the depths of the lone star found at the center of the universe. Here, where the jetstreams are at their greatest, they fly up to 1300 miles per hour (very close to the speed of light in this universe), pulled along with all the other baryonic matter. Time and mass dialation are very much a factor at those speeds and unlike in our universe, at over 9/10th lightspeed, time passes 20x faster for those traveling within the jetstream (in our own, time doesnt dialate at nearly such a high factor).
Outside are the Sentinels, ancient weapons the size of small moons. They follow the programming of the ancient ones 'Do not interfere with local politics but resist all who would endanger the mother race'. Their armour glowing blue, hint at the power held within.
It may be a a long time before mankind meets this race, but when they do it had best be as equals. Afterall, at this moment man is still spread like the thinnest of dust across a tiny sliver the the 'Close Universe'. The older dominate races know their places and will not tolerate no upstart species. Especially one as new as the humans, who have only been here for little more then 100,000 years.
