Well, top notch design, but scientific accuracy leaves a lot to be desired. When anthropomorphic simians were around, dinosaurs had been long extinct (there were no dinosaurs on 2001,that I recall)! Besides, man is more close to chimpanzee than to gorillas. I surmise this is a parody set in another universe, in this case it's all right! ;)
