Description

Just trying to learn about light and reflections. All models made by me in Cinema 4d, except imported in Daz freebie lo res Vickie. Please feel free to comment. I'd like to know what other people think of my stuff. I've made this image smaller and the thumb bigger since posting Shanna :-)

Quite original. There is an interesting contrast between the fine realism of the mascara as opposed to the distortions of the face. I have no experience in Cinema 4d...I am quite impressed. Interesting still life. I like it. :) The only thing that is a little confusing to me is the pane that the head is on...is that a mirror? The head base doesn't seem to really be sitting on the counter to me, but that is a small point. The light and reflections are well done. Good job!

The depth of the reflections are plumb incredible! The head is an interesting addition, looks like an ice sculpture.

Well, first of all, I'm inpressed 'cause you made the props up there. (hats off to ya!) Secondly, I've messed around and stared at the darn thing to try to figure out where the mirrors are...LOL. It's an interesting still life. I look forward to more provoking stuff from you...as well as a picture of long black hair (grin).

One mirror, upright, which goes through the floor.(you can see the line just to the right of the mascara bottle, the other end is off screen) Ceramic tiles with pretty high reflection and poor vicky is unsmoothed and made of mirrors. Thanks for your comments, any ideas on how to make it better?

Very original still life and I love the quality of light that you've achieved. Rather haunting.

Very nice! Simple and effective (simple as in uncluttered, not a measure of how easy this great image was to make - you ask for suggestions for improvement - well maybe the overall look could be a bit brighter- being a bloke I would imagine that a lady would like a bit more light to put on her makeup! Great the way it is though IMO

Modeling is exceptional, but I think a bit of tweaking on the lights will go a long way in making this even more effective.
