Description
Recently i visited the sight of a mayan settlement on cozumel - an island just off the ukatan coast of southern mexico, and was struck by how melancholy the ruins there were.
It is astounding that over the last few hundred years a race such has the maya has been wiped out - whether by nateral forces or by a 'more civelised' race such as us europeans......
I wonder how many mayan nobles stood at this spot and saw their life style and culture enduring forever? or even more terrifying , saw it all collapsing about them........
Funny thing is i geuss were in just the same predicament now...........
