Description
For those of you who have not esperienced the destructive force of a hurricane this image brings back memories of Hugo. On the island of Montserrat 90% of the houses were affected in some way. The lost of trees had the most effect on me. On the coast all that remained of those stately plants were a mass of trunks and twigs intermingled with mud that was washed down the river to the sea coast. This is an attempt to capture that time.
Thanks to Davy(madasatadpole) for pointing me towards Terrain Mapping. I can now make use of some of my thousands of photographs in a unique way.
DeeVee,
Joe.

fire, earth, sea and sky...master of the elements...and always with heart. Thank you for sharing this beautiful but devastating image with us. Your terrain mapping is coming along nicely as well. You set a nice scene not only by commentary but with the lone tree stranding amidst destruction with a most perfect sky and sea in the background attesting to the fact that all was not lost and that there was hope on the horizon.
