Amazing! The textures of the feathers show so well....good shot!....shame the other eye is covered in darkness...:~( or this would have been perfect! Any idea what caused it?

Great shot, wreckraider! Must've been one intense zoom? you got such a close shot we can actually count the strands on this little guy's features. This is a top-notch nature! Good job

Thank you all for your comments. This is what I consider a snapshot, as time to adjust anything but the angle and maybe a setting on the camera are limited. And so just luck and the ability of the Canon G-3 I used deserve the credit. I actualy enjoy changing my snapshots after the fact using some of the great graphic programs available and perhaps I will post one of those at a later time. I am still learning from the pictures I see here. I am sure J-bird appreciates the viewing.
