Description

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" -- Percy Bysshe Shelley I've been playing with underwater scenes and post-apocalyptic themes a lot, lately. It was only a matter of time before the two ideas collided.

"Waterworld" and "Planet of the Apes" collide. a poignant statement on the possible fate of mankind.

My most favorite poem, great idea! I had thought about illustrating the poem and must say your image is wonderful...

Agree with Gwyn Tyger...and the idea of fate, and mankind, to see the statue of hope for all, laying decaying on the ocean bottom....it is an image that is good, and provokes much thought.

Thank you all for the compliments. I must confess that I found the idea of Lady Liberty fallen to ruin a bit disquieting myself. So I added the dolphin to show that life goes on and hope continues. -- Jeff Edwards
