Description

This is a work-in-progress image. I've been building this for quite a time now, with the main focus on the Global Illumination settings. The apartman has 2 floors, this is the top floor. The image has been rendered with Max5 and Brazil, with almost all the lowest quality settings (still 45 minutes for 1 frame on a dual 4Ghz machine)... :) When finished with it, I will wrap it up as a tutorial, and will add more images from different shots. quite nice actually. Your computer screen may be just a tad bright given the lighting environment. I think I'd also change one of the maps to something else, just to avoid the duplication.

All most there. The modeling is great however, the image comes off being a little flat. The ceiling and the walls seems to have equal amounts of lighting.

I like very much the kind of 'GI' that Brazil creates, it can be fine-tuned much better than the built-in GI solutions in Max.

Looks pretty good. When you crank up the settings it should be great.
