Description

I dedicate this one to my older brother Steffen :) After working on this pic for 3 days, and 2 minutes before I would have started the final render, Vue crashed while saving the file so the scene is lost :*( Luckily I made a small testrender yesterday, not so different from the final version so here it is. I think I'll start working on my landscapes again. I've started missing them :) Thanks for viewing and commenting :) - Thomas

...and Vue crashed!! Of course it did. I know the problem well. [Like the man said: SAVE! SAVE! SAVE!] But you've got a fantastic range of color in the sky, [Another tutorial?] a bold POV [your strong point] and a feeling of the early 19th cent. painters. Good luck on re-building it. I find that it's a pain in the butt, but when you sit down and start to work, it goes pretty fast, because you've made all the hard decisions already.

Very nice work Thomas, sorry about Vue crashing and u losing the final scene u made. Vue crashes for me too especially when I try top load that PALM TREE that u mentioned in one of ur tutorials, I downloaded it used it in my scenes and saved it but whenver I load the scene to finish it VUE generates errors , i dont think i will ever be able to complete that scene :(

I had those problems very often, so I use 2 files on 1 scene, so if one crashes, the other one is still ok. Then you don't need to rebuild the complete scene. FANTASTIC work by the way. This sky could really make my cry man, this is way too good to give it words...

Amazing sky and lighting... I like the... the... errr... when the light is behind the object so that you see only its shape black against the light... (oops, how do you say it in English?)... Well, that effect, if you can understand what I mean.

It's a very "warm" image! So beautiful! It reminds me of a "sleepy" summer afternoon :) Wonderful!!
