Description

This was an image that came in second place in Hash's Animation:Master monthly image contest. The topic was "Mechanical". I found photos of cave bear skull fossils on the web which I used as rotoscopes. Then...I got slightly carried away.

2nd place? this is excellent! just the type of wild contraption you'd expect in a mad scientists lab or a road runner cartoon, fantastic details, I bet even the manual up close actually has real instructions on it.

Well, we can certainly see that a lot of work went into this! I'll bet those wires were a pain in the ass! The metallic parts could be more realistic. It seems they are either not polished enough to be that reflective or they are not reflecting enough environment. Details, details! Great work!

This is a perfectly captivating image. I'm absolutely blown away by the parts bag...Incredible work. I could go on and on, but I better just rate it excellent! And vote for it too...

Definitly a fisrt place. I love the details of the decals used for the manual, box and cd and the bump maps on the plastic bag and cd cover... and the modeling...and...

What I like about this (besides the great modeling): 1. Realistic surfaces, but with a vibrant color scheme that gives it a more interesting stylized and illustrative look. 2. Incredibly meticulous and thoughtful composition that still creates the intended sense of chaos and disarray. If forced to critique anything, I would only point out that the chance of the skull on the table and the skull on the box picture both reflecting the same environment is a somewhat unlikely probability ;) Beautiful image...hats off and stuff!

It begins. They are winkichi and a good work. It is very fine and the place called creation middle is also good.

I was blown away by this when I saw it on the voting page--amazing stuff. So many nutty little details, and the textures are so realistic! The concept is awesome as well, not something you see every day.
