Description

This piece was a first for me. First, I sculpted the mountain background and rocks using a plaster and paper combination, and did the cacti and lion in polymer clay, separate. When it all dried, I painted it and put it together. I would like your opinions on this piece since it is an experiment. It isn't easy painting details on the baked clay, believe me! Anyway, I would appreciate any comments and critiques.

Beautifully done! Its almost perfect as it is :D I don't know if it occurs in the area that you are depicting, but I'd use some small pieces of lichen to break up the rock and to cover some of the plaster lines. Thanks for sharing this :D

The background lair is outstanding, it looks so real. I would like to experiment with sculpture myself. I know I couldn't create anything like this though. Great job!

That's great. I wish I could do something this nice in 3D...then again, maybe I need to pick up some clay or something, it's been quite a few years since I tried!
