Just think if everyone who smokes stopped all at once,.........where on earth would you get the money to build more schools, put more teachers in those schools, put more police on the streets, build more highways and improve the ones that exist, keep property taxes down(for those who are fortunate enough to own property), fund anti-terrorism efforts,..... I'm sorry,....I live in a state where cigarette smokers are taxed at a level 250% higher than the rest of the population for goods and services that benefit the ENTIRE population,......that's called unfair taxation and we here in the States fought a war over exactly the same issues over 225 years ago,....You cannot over tax one segment of the population for the good of the State. It is unconstitutional. If you don't like the fact that there are still 80 million of us (U.S. Government figures,....although I'd place it closer to 150 million)that still smoke,....take the BOLD measure of a total BAN on ALL tobacco products(not just cigarettes),....which will never happen (tobacco is a $450 million a year industry). And by the way it's MARLBORO. If you're going to insult people at least learn to spell ! In my mind this is an amateurish attempt at social commentary. Sorry for being so vitrolic, but you have struck a nerve here.

To sackrat: I did not post this image to be any kind of insult. I'm trying to quit smoking myself, and this is a way of helping me, and possibly others. Must be a powerful image to raise such a stir. Btw, I smoke Marlboro.... Jeff

Sackrat, maybe you exaggerated a bit here... but, oh-kay, let's cool off and enjoy this funny image, 'cuz it deserves to be enjoyed. BTW, I'm a hard smoker too and I too feel somewhat tormented by the new laws here in Italy... your image is funny and well done, but I won't quit! :-) [And I smoke Camels... heheh]
