Description
First, thanks to all of you for your helpfull comments.
The body texture of Jane is almost over, but i wanted to have some fun with make up. 3 tex, still no post work.
I have recieve messages and mails, asking me if i would sell it.
I didn't think of it and I've been confused...
On one hand, i don't want to see Renderosity becoming a big supermarket, where every image is not art but advertizing for a new tex or new character etc...
On the other hand it's been lot of work, and if it makes some money, i would buy those great characters i can't afford now like Voluptuous Vicki, or Burton's Supermodel..
Maybe, instead of exchanging credit card numbers, we could all exchange our work..
What do you think ?
Thank you all.

Very Pretty texture and nice work on the faces! "...don't want to see... a supermarket..."- you're new here, aren't you? Hahahaha kidding! Not everyone is a poor starving artist... if someone offers to buy, then sell! The trading thing we also do, just not publicly

Great work and I know how you feel, I'm reluctant to sell any of my creations (even though what I'm working on now will probably take me a long time to finish) because I want them to be free for everyone... but on the other hand, I wish I could afford those fancy things in the store :((

Really great ! That's perfect ! I think the same thing than you concerning the store. How many people we never heard about before sell, sell, sell... and how many artists contributing to the community for free don't get the honors they deserve... why is there a best store contributor and not a best free stuff contributor ?! and what about some Poser Awards to reward those who make the real force of Renderosity... people come for the free stuff and the forums ... I've seen so many great artists giving great art for free ! In the following weeks, I will release a lot of textures, about twelve, and I'm planning to sell two of them when I think they'll be perfect. I wish there will be someone to tell me they are not good enough to be sold if they aren't... I've been working on them for more than two months, collecting materials, taking photos, and so on ... not everything can be sold ... sorry, I'm off topic :)

No you're not... Thank you so much for telling me what you feel cause i see i 'm not the only one to think this way here... It's not an easy choice i think.. It's like goin on the dark side of the force or something... smile

Ah! A chance to wax philosophical! I'm not a big player at Renderosity. I haven't submitted any art, but I've been visiting and commenting for 6+ months. If you want the opinion of a relative newbie, here it is: art for art's sake is a utopian ideal that we'll never fully realize. But if you want to try to reach a happy medium, just sell your stuff at a low price. You've got some incredible textures here. Who could refuse to buy such a texture for $2-3? A lot of people sell at $10+, and that's fine.* But if your goal is fostering a community, just don't try to get rich off the members.

You Know I have to agree with you cake. Maybe you could have people email you with a trade. Them you could trade with who ever you wanted. I know for a fact that goes on all the time here!
