"Youth is a time of carefree days
Basking in the sun's warm rays
Time passes not slowly, yet in the blink of an eye
I find that fate and life have nearly passed me by
Life wears down the youthful joys
The carcophonies of spring become autumn noise
Yet within my aging body springs
The hope of many hopeful things
Though sorrow my boon companion has been
My faith will not let melancholy win
For even in my life of sin
When I die, Heaven's Gates shall welcome me in
Because I found faith in Him."
