Description

I spent ages modelling and texturing this, it is based on the real thing, textures arent exactly true to it's real world counterpart. some texturing done in corel photopaint, the rest procedurals and gradients. I had no idea as to what genre to put this under, so I put it under still life. I will probably model its box in the near future. I am aware of the compression artifacts. Comments and suggestions always welcome

Very nicely done! You did an absolutely terrific job on both the modeling and the texture work. Only two things I would like to suggest... turn down the compression of your JPEG, and perhaps post a slightly smaller version. Right now it's big and blurry... :o(. May I recommend the "science & technology" genre as a possible home for this fine image? Well done!

Thanks for your comments! Corel Draw was only used very minimally in the texturing of this object. This is really kind of a WIP, whhile I make a simple scene for it. Next time I will make the compression a bit better as well! :) Did I mention that render time was only abour 1 minute!

Very nice render! The texturing is fantabulous! Can't wait to see it in a scene. The only thing that's bothering me is the amount of segments on the mirror, needs to be smoother. Apart from that this really is very, very good.
