BIOBIOGRAPHY

I am Gerwin van der Velde. My hobbies include all sorts of animation and film,
martial arts: in particular jiu-jitsu, capoeira and wushu styles. In addition, of course art. In whatever way it is used for. Personal production favourites include, Flash, Photoshop, pencil and fineliner. Beautiful styles I think are Polynesian and Celtic tribal, Jugendstil, Impressionism, and other early 20th century Industrial Arts, Symbolism, Classicism and all ways of visually portraying a story.
Culture and history are very important also, for they play a large part in art.
In addition, make us learn NOT to make the same mistakes again.




View on Graphic design
It is a way to fully expand your limits within the restrictions of the goal. From a sender to a receiver, the designer is neither. He/she only chooses the route, not the departure or destination.


Future
After graduating next year with a major in Graphic Design or Visualising, I am planning to study Multimedia. I have always been fascinated by animation and the abilities/restraints of internet publishing. The year after that I would like to travel to South America and South East Asia. I plan on working in South East Asia, as a graphic designer and later on as an Art director. Possibly, conclude my career by becoming a teacher.
