Description

Just starting a new portrait...
Funny but the way we are taught to start drawing portraits () don't seem to produce the proper results with me :) When I start with dividing lines etc (as Raphael elaborated) I get ugly results, when nothing of that facial geometry is applied everything seems to be proportional and realistic...
Thank You for viewing,
graphically Yours,
-Anthony.

I think we all have our own style for portraits, I section off into threes then half the face..from there work on the features..That works best for me..what is good for one person may not be for another. Be true to yourself..with what you are comfortable with, be damned with what is proper and what isnt..

I just do stuff and mostly start of with the eyes and nose. They are the base of the face. The disadvantage is that half the time I can't get the whole face to fit on my piece of paper.

I just divide the paper I have in spaces and try to fill them. To me this looks promising, and I like the way it fills all space a lot. :)
