Description
The Necronomicon tells of the Old Ones, who arrived on the primal Earth from "dark stars". When land appeared they swarmed from the oceans to build cities at the poles and raise temples to Those cursed by the Gods.

This is one hell of an image! Powerful and beautiful composed with a great POV. The monochrome colouring makes the whole atmosphere one of danger!

I agree with hyperborea, this is powerful and very nicely done. The lighting gives it a drama and sense of foreboding. I like the fog and mist too, they works nicely taking the scene out of the computers digital grasp and adding a finished artistic touch.

Grande lavoro! E poi la citazione di Lovecraft... una grande interpretazione del Visionario di Providence! Gli edifici sono bellissimi, incredibilmente dettagliati e ben modellati, coscome le "astronavi". Ottimo anche l'effetto dei retropulsori, e la nebbia-fumo (suppongo sia post) semplicemente fantastica. Il seppia, poi, aggiunge atmosfera. L'unica cosa che non mi convince al 100% il riflesso sull'astronave in primo piano, confonde un po' la parte inferiore. A parte questo dettaglio direi infinitesimale, l'immagine veramente splendida!

woah--killer POV, those buildings are quite awesome! very castle looks to them, and the shipes flying by are blurred perfectly. the color also gives a very dreary mood. excellent job!!!

Grand piece Carlo! The POV and DOF in the piece really gives the buildings enormous proportions! The smoke and atmosphere only adds to the mysterious feeling of this place. Awesome work!!!
