Description

*Clutching on to this cup of passion sipping from its uneven mouth the bitter tasting potion how it burns my lips my tongue swelling on fire my veins.... blood turned electric. Fire ambrosia, opening up my soul in flames the pain, unreal gutting all that I feel yet I keep drinking as the fluid boils my insides my heart, an inferno.* Erika Thorpe ----------------------------------- I am very happy to show everyone, the intense beauty and the deep charme of Erika, mooncat here, for I consider her a wonderful, massively talented, and lovely presence in this site. I said lovely, because she is this mainly to me: a creature whose heart is a treasure of feelings and love. Rarely it happens to find persons who, already at a young age as hers, has got the vision, the depth in feelings, the wisdom and the capability of really understanding human passions the way she does. She's not only is very, VERY skilled in art: she has so many qualities within, that many wouldn't reach in years. Sometimes you're shadowed dear, maybe more than just sometimes... but as former shadowed one, I can tell you, the pain you beautifully describes above, in the amazing poem you've sent me to comment under your picture, will fade. And it can fade soon. Believe in you: you are filled with a light, a vibe, a passion that indeed is a source of amazing, warmening fire. If others will trash you down, be a phoenix, and fly higher than them. If you are the one who sometimes trashes yourself down: don't. Your beautiful eyes, I bet, shine on even more when you smile and are serene. It will be a pleasure to send you the real portrait: thank you infintely for allowin me in doing it :) :) :) love you, for real. :) Kisses, Meli :)

A beautiful portrait of a beautiful girl by a beautiful girl. Thank you Gallimel, for introducing me to the talents of Mooncat. I was very impressed with her works. I wish I had more time to spend surfing this art community.

Strangely Mooncat has gathered up the fierce outbreak of your ladies portraits and hidden the cumbersome moves that established your raw talent. You've got it. The Erika who has no fear of flying.

Thank you Meli, but I must say you have made me look much better than I do in real life. Usually I have dark circles under my eyes, and I'm a bit more skeletal....this is the healthier me if I slept and ate better. Nonetheless you did an excellent job, especially like I said before, on the nose. My brother and I both have that nose and so does my father...It's the Thorpe nose. You are indeed an angel, if you disagree, just check again at that portrait I did of you, I've never had that many comments before on any on my images. P.S. you call me young but I believe I am older than you...my button nose makes me look younger than I actually am. Thanks again Meli, you are too kind!

Erika dear: I have seen you in a fair number of images, and YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. I sketched far too many women to not realize if I see a beautiful face :) You are thin, not skinny (I wish I could be as thin!!! See, people never are hapy with what they've got :)), and your face has an intensity, and a grace, as beautiful as those wonderful ladies from the 30s. You have to believe me. I can name beauty when I see it. Love you dear :) And i am stubborn: I'll convince you the way you are adorable :) (I am soon 26 me... I guess you are younger than me? I thought so at least :)) Luv Erika.. and a mega kiss :)

My turn next time to do Mooncat's portrait? I do not know the young lady in the flesh but this drawing looks very good.

I really love the use of color on this one. So real, so vibrant. Do you like grilled cheese? Who is the woman in the pic? Erica Estrada, Penelope Anne Miller? Marlon Brando? Is this a mystery woman? No name behind the face?

I swoon over the moon... cat that is. This is truly beautiful work. Again the hair, of which you are so expert at capturing, really sets this drawing off. Those flowing lines are a beauty to look at.

Most expressive eyes! Impressive as all Your works, Meli. Especially like this (as well as some others of that kind) for Your unbelievable ability to achieve the feeling by means of few lines only! Always a secret for me what are the mechanisms of that impression. You manage to achieve. Fantastic, my hat is of, hands up (and clapping) ura.gif
