Another view of my 4th place finish in Animation Master's monthly contest. Topic was "mechanical".
Used a Hot Wheel diecast as my rotoscope and guide.

Another image I happened to vote for. This is excellent work. I don't think I have it in me for mechanical modeling, especially at this caliber.

Amazing work. Great modeling, and very appealing lighting and render. A lot of CG images turn out resembling a "small toy" version of the object they depict -- very interesting that you used a miniature as reference, and your image turned out looking more like a real bike. Very successful piece all around. Some might beg for dirt and grime, but I think the untouched illustrative look works perfectly well in this case. Dirt would be appropriate if you'd placed the bike in some kind of environment, but this looks like a "showroom ad slick" type of image.

Nice model! The rear light doesn't look detailed enoguh, if you catch my drift. It appears to be a simple plastique box... Also the rubber of the tires seems a little too light for real tires. But that may just be me... Good job!
