When i saw the thumbnail i thought it was a Bryce image, also when looking at the full size image the lightning sertainly confuses me. When taking wideshots like this one, it's wise to pay attention to the horizon so that the final image will get perfectly aligned with the horizon. Just a tip, but it sertainly pays off.

I didn't see any "lightning" so I don't know if the other comments are about the same picture. I loved this picture! What I particularly liked was the perspective of the rail, near to far. I also liked the kinetic energy of the clouds and ocean. The photographer's skill transported me to this location.

I like the photo also for the same reasons as thistlepuff, but Kicker has a point about the horizon...the tilt should be more straight.

I just like this picture. The horizon "issue" doesn't really play into my enjoyment of this imagery.

I love the ocean. This is an amazing picture. There is so many things to see. The coastline, the horizon, the sky, the strange pilons...I feel as if I am near to the ocean.
