A wise reminder that what may look peaceful and calm, may suddenly turn into a churning, destructive force that one should always be wary of.

Love the composition here, and the colors are great. Curious as to what kindo of equipment you're using? Traditional slr and film or digital? Not that it matters but I use both so I'm always interested in what others use.

Hi Michelle. Thanks for your generous remarks. I use an old Nikon 35mm SLR. These photos are scanned at 300 dpi from ordinary 4x6 prints. I wish I had a film scanner to get sharper resolution directly from the negatives; hope to get one some day. I've played with digital cameras and love them, but so far haven't made the plunge to buy one; I'm sure I will within a year or so. The images here are touched up slightly with Adobe Photodeluxe and Photoshop, mostly to eliminate scanner artifacts like dust and scratches.

The colors are really wonderful. I would be wary of just getting any digital camera. Traditional slr and film, to me, still seem more reliable to an artist's influence. I think this is probably a very personal picture; one that reflects the artist's personal walls they erect to hold "things" inside, to protect others from the "things" inside, and to protect themselves from possible exterior dangers.
