Description

I know this looks simple but I tell you what.......! This was a serious attempt at playing with all the material settings and lighting in Bryce5. I must have tweaked and rendered this "simple" shot glass at least 40 times. I just hope that I am getting the hang of it? I would really like to hear your opinions and any comments that might help. Oh yeah! I modeled the glass, liquid and ice cubes in Rhino2

OK! I have a question? does anyone else see the hard conture lines in the light shading? I saw it on my final render but the defect was not there after I saved the image and viewed it in my picture viewer. But I see it again since I posted it here. I just dont get it.

Why worry about "hard edges" ?...It's Art ! and an excellent artwork at that !!!!

Yes, I see the hard edges. You could try using "soft shadows" or the "light cluster source." My image "Are We Having Fun Yet?" uses the light cluster method.
