What I love a lot, apart from seeing someone with your imagination and technical virtuosity use my paintings to make great new images without deconstructing the originals, is that you put her foot outside the canvas, just like Jan Van Eyck did on the Mystic Lamb painting in Ghent. If I ever doubted why I make these works, I did find a good reason here. Excellent, simple excellent.

"Classical Beauty"? Classic Susan! She is the life energy of the painting made manifest and almost tempted to relinquish her 2D realm for the uncertain paths of the cyberspace galleries. I am tempted to believe that this could actually be happening, so strong is the presence of the figure. The tentative movement of her foot out of the shadows of her world prompts the imagination on and on.

that just looks so cool!! luv the colors & all the details... i think of putting testure mapping like this on people in photos but have yet to learn how :]
