Description

This image started out as a detailed ship design but I was inspired by the scenes in many of gloughts' images and I wanted to tell a story in a picture. The figures are old Poser 2 imports and I made the gear in Carrara. Finally I used and modified a few Real World Metal textures by Litst. Crumbling paint (the blue building), black iron (the light poles and large support tubes) and I believe old and worn metal (many of the dull silver accents throughout the scene). Hope you like it, it was a lot of fun to create!

I love the action!! I am truly moved that someone has been inspired by my work!!! Your detail level is just outstanding!! It adds depth to every thing that I look at. The atmosphere and flame effect really add to the action of this image. (I see where your robots come into play now.) I wouldnt change a thing one this one but maybe add one or two effects. A very light blurred shock wave particle effect under each of the flames would give a look of force to the landing or maybe a hint of light shallow fog under the ship. I think that would really set them off. I cant wait to see how the rest of the story un-folds.

Yeah, a very good interpretation of a glought image. I like to see the little touches, like the lights blacked-out in non repeating patterns. I would like to see this from a second more dramatic POV. You may lose the complete aircraft but gain more drama on the robot... or maybe from over the robot's shoulder... I dunno, just thinking out loud.

Super detailing and I especially like the addition of lights you must have added off "camera" to provide some of the nice highlighting in the foreground.
