This work is from a photo of a small roadside stand in the Philippines - There are humdreds of these - In order to survive people must rely on themself - With no resources other than what can be gathered - Along with a innate natural creative ability - These people created these most beatiful hanging sculptures - Hand made from sea shells - bound with bamboo and string - The crude unfinshed look is to symbolize the true atmosphere of the real setting - Amazingly talent people - I hope you like it - As always thank you for viewing - Comments welcome SoulEatar

Ive seen these beautiful windchimes and hangings in botiques here in the east..I had one at one time made of shells..they are truly lovely works of art..this picture and the story behind them is fascinating..

Beautiful, thank you for sharing. I've been in various parts of Asia, but not yet the philippinnes, although I've become familiar with their culture having lived in Guam and Hawaii, and have seen these sculptures. Nice work.
