I like this pic very much. It's quite photorealistic, only that waves seem to run all in one direction. I like it anyway :)

Thomas, thanks for your comment. I live in the Tropics and have for the past 66 years, do you think that I know any place better?:-)))) I believe in sticking with what I know. I understand that it is best to have variety, but looking through my gallery I think that there are quite a variety of subjects displayed there IMHO! DeeVee, Joe.

I think this one gets bumped up into my favorite, Dee. Really nice.

yeah this is one of my favs now as well. We have had some high waters in my area here of late and this reminds me a bit of that. Though soon the spring rains will come and we will have a much more rich scene in which to draw from. I realllllly love this one. Kudos!!

I know this isn't entirely what you want to hear, but I concur with Thomas - I think the move away from familiar territory has inspired you! I put this right at the top of your Vue oeuvres. Excellent work.

You misunderstand Joe, I didn't mean the sky showing between the individual tree trunks, I meant through the the physical wooden trunks. You will notice particularly if you look at the trunk almost central blue sky is showing through the wood of the trunk in patches, also on some of the others.

Thanks again to all for your comments, they are all welcomed. Mikeangelo the sky shows through the trees because the land falls away just behind the trees a bit and so the sky can be seen from where the viewer is positioned:-)))) I hope that reason is good enough for you:-)))

Joe, I think you used a photo for the background and somewhere is something wrong. The trees have holes where the sky comes trough and some parts of the plants (green parts) are missing too, this cuts some trees in two pieces. But otherwise, as I sayd already, a great image:-)

Thanks for pointing that out... I have no idea why this should be the case as there are no holes in the photograph... I now understand what Mikeangelo was refering to. In thinking about it maybe it has something to do with the transparency of the alpha used...I have noticed that it is not as vibrant or as sharp as the original photograph.. any Help would be appreciated?
