I like the sharp contrast of the church with the storm clouds in back. This church has great windows. Also I like the colors the truck and the red hill provide.

I agree with Cynlee, Is this put together in post work or is this a real setting. It has a very sur-real feeling to it almost dream like.

No post work except to remove dust and adjust color. It's a church in the tiny town "Elk" on the Sonoma County coast on Highway One in California, about 20 minutes south of Mendocino. Shot in 1995.

I agree there are many themes in which to think about old and new, clouds behind the church, the church amongst nature, wires and technology in front of the church. Overall, I really like the colors that this picture possesses. I wonder if you have any pictures with just the church?

A setting that brings the past alive....wonderful setting and image. I think the truck really makes this shot.

As an architect, I appreciate the church as a beauteous relic of old Americana. My daughter likes the pretty truck.
