Description

Based loosely on my memory Santa Monica Boulevard near Westwood California. I used to go there a lot in the summer and I remember it as a fast paced, busy town. My first city scene with buildings. A bit experimental really. Iv'e been so busy lately, this is all I can afford to make for now. =) Buildings and trees in Bryce. People from Poser. Postwork in Photoshop. Thanks for stopping by. =) A great day to all!

Beautifully done Alvin. I like the composition & presentation. Nice touch of having the tree leaves come out of the scene onto the frame.

Ahhh, Westwood, I was just throught there the other day. Had you not stated that the buildings were done in Bryce, I could have sworn they were photos. In fact, the whole thing looks like a photo. Great job with the realism and the layout.

Alvin, this is super! The motion blur is really amazing, and the buildings are just right for the scene (I had a wonderful time in Santa Monica myself some years ago, and you rendered perfectly the mood of those long sunny afternoons). Plus, the framework is very cool. All my thumbs up!!! (I have only two of them, alas...) :-)

WOW!!! The buildings and sky does look like a photo, incredible job you have done with the modelling and the lighting to get the atmosphere of California. Blurring the figures was an excellent idea to express the mood and memories of what you remember of that city. Excellent work.
