My true 3D adventure started in February 2002 when I got Vue d'Esprit 2 from a computer magazine.
I've got addicted to 3D, and intensively learned Vue, performing my 3D workshop and creating mostly Science-Fiction related scenes.
After few months with Vue I realized that would need more serious tools to achieve better results, so I started learning Lightwave & Cinema 4D, but in about the same time e-on invited me to Spotlight, beta tests of Vue 4 Pro and then to full time cooperation, and this is how I get stuck with Vue for next 10 years. During that time, I have created my best Vue scenes and while working for e-on I made heaps of content for Vue (materials, clouds, atmospheres, terrains, functions), especially I spent a lot of time creating from scratch new Solid Growth plants. Since 2007 I worked on new plant editor project, now known as The Plant Factory. I was defining TPF functionality, features, interface, testing it, and developing plant models with new graph based system.
After release of The Plant Factory I started to develop TPF models on my own, under Green Gene brand.
Now I plan to focus more on Cinema 4D, and create whole scenes directly in Cinema 4D.

Great idea, this image. I am on the edge of buying LightWave, this helps to decide. Did the textures come with the models? Their quite great. Good first LW output, I would say.

Thanks - Textures I had to made them almost from scrap (only Victoria's maps are from DAZ) - Think twice about Lightwave 7 - it's very difficult to use this program - I spent a lot of time preparing this picture - and if you decide on Lightwave - wait on 8.0 version :-)) Co do Victorii, to moliwe, e z tamtej strony w kt patrzy te startuj rakiety, a nie bardzo dao siustawiscentak, eby byo widatwarz Victorii i rakiety :-)) Pozdrawiam

For a first LightWave post this is amazing. Well done.

Reminds me of the unapologeticly ironic motot of the Stragtic Air Command Peace is Our Profession. A great image both in concept and execution.

Excellent work, but I see too much yellow colour, especially on Victoria's skin and on the building

And i hope it will never.. ever.. happen, too much to loose. Exceptional work on the reflections. Excellent.

Those rockets are cool (as is lightwave ... I hope I can spend some time modeling soon again too !)

I love it - and also the style of the fifties!

Sorry I missed this one Robert! An excellent render of a chilling subject. My hat is off to you for such great work in Lightwave. I hear it is a difficult app to learn.

not at all bad for one who confesses to being facsinated with garbage trucks as a young boy on his own personal artist page. :-D The Poser4 girl isn't at all necessary and looks distorted in the wide-angle view. She distracts from an otherwise wonderful scene.

Incredible "Thought provoking" piece. And there is still time....

Personally, I think it is always good to have at least one human in a shot, some exceptions may be applied. Here, the woman seems a bit static, the sound would be deafening. Her pose is "light surprise" but almost comes off looking a bit patriotic. An American flag would completely change the tone of the picture. Nice job on the rocket flares. The smoke could be a bit thicker and whiter, for rockets of that size. Nice job on the Diner, materials.
