Description

A Work in Progress... this is an attempt to render a realistic looking, natural ground cover, with tileable models. The low polygon count is very evident in this extreme close up view, but the alternitive is too intense. The plantlets were made with lightwave and rino, the rusty oil can in rino, textures in photoshop, rendered in poser.

I agree it doesn't hold up in closeup, but here's an idea: You could do the same set with a narrow depth of field on the mid-ground, where the plants work, and both the foreground and distant background are softly out of focus. This way, your models could still be useful.
