Description


Just experimenting with fire and smoke effects. Forth coming tutorial will follow. As well as one on creating accurate dome effects and setting up an environment.

Thanks for the comment Pistola. Yeah its a work in progress as to the smoke. Not sure what you mean by the horizontal distortion, perhaps you could explain, I'm still perfecting everything. It is a modified flame primitive, with a few little things as well.

The sucky thing about Ray Dream and Carrara flame primitives is that they seem to be mapped to a degree along the edges of the box, so if you aren't viewing it at just the right angle, you see through it to what looks like a flat plane with spots of flame effect painted on it, and in perspective no less. It's not too evident here, but I was looking for it 'cos I've had to put up with it enough times, so I noticed it.
