(So that's what's under those grates in the street!;-)) The depth of field gives it a photoreal quality, but the best part is all those subtle shades of purple-gray, and the contrast of textures from rough to smooth. And of course you have the nicest spheres around!

Beautiful lighting and DOF's really awesome, Martin! The materials also rock! A clever twist on the ever-popular "reflective sphere" theme :) Excellent all the way!

I don't know anything about the tools you use man, but visually this one is incredible. The concept, the lights, the plasticity. WOW. :)

These spheres remind me of when I first started posting at renderosity, and I saw your work for the first time. I was amazed then, as I am now of the hyper-clarity of your reflections, and your dramatic lighting.Excellent!

This is great, Martin, but I think it has so much more potential. How about adding a discarded soda can, crumpled paper, coins, leaves or things you may typically see in a drain. Pools of water, dead bugs, etc. the possibilities are endless. The lighting is typically fantastic and I really like it, I just think it could be extraordinary with a little work. :-) -- dano

Awesome composition and this image really gives me a sense of claustrophobia. The feeling of cramped space really comes through. Great work as always...

Hey LP - truly INSPIRING stuff! Awesome! (counting the days til I get my C4) Y'know...this "just 4 fun" project could definitely EVOLVE into something...in my minds eye.....I imagine a childs hand...reaching down through the grating to grab the marbles he dropped. (eh...maybe I'm thinkin TOO MUCH!)

Beautiful image, I love the depth of field, but it, or something, makes the scale seem wierd. Gorgeous lighting and reflections though, nice one.
