Just playing again in good olde poser, and this is what i threw together... both the ship and the thing she's standing on made by me :) ...thank you for looking my friends....

Simple but effective. You've managed to portray emotion without even showing the watcher's face! The colours help reflect that mood, I think. Love the fading out of the orange gorund haze into the first faint glimpse of the stars, it really adds to the sensation of the craft lifting off and away- as do those little swirls around the base of the tower, which are a tiny touch but well thought of.

gosh, Mike, i just love the feel this has and the styling of it... it strikes me as a great image to don a book cover with, and i think this simplicity speaks louder than if the scene were to be more cluttered... bravo, m'dear...
