Description

I've been wanting to test out this new eye texture on someone, so I painted up some contacts and gave 'em to Nilann. hehe Just wanted to see if anyone out there likes them... Comments are very welcome and thanks for looking!

Just a couple helpful comments ;o) (from someone who's done LOTS of eyes...hehehe). 1. There's not enough variation of color. It might help some to decrease the size of the pupil so that more iris shows. But I think what is needed is something other than solid black on the eyewhite. 2. Even tho this IS a dark and gloomy texture ;o), the eyes look "dead"; by that I mean that they have no life. You might want to add some highlights and shiny spots either on a reflection map or in post. 3. Take a very close look at an iris sometime and you will notice that there are none that are a single color the whole way across. Subtle variations in color can go a long way to making you eyes look more realistic, even fantasy eyes ;o).

Hmm.... Thank you for the helpful comments! :) I've been trying to make a reflection map for these but really don't know what I'm doing... ^_^; I was actually going for an alien-type eye with these, guess I forgot to mention that.
