It is good to be patriotic and proud of your country. It is not good to be so blindly or without thought. It is the duty of all citizens of all states to be aware of the issues and give them due thought/consideration of all the implications before taking any irretreivable action for which we must assume responsibility. m6master, your comment is out of line, simply. punmaster, I understand your point of view and I believe that this is not what most americans are looking for or intending in this issue. It is very possible to do the right thing for the wrong reason in the modern political world. We must look past the government rhetoric in order to understand the people and their wishes.

I see the flag in the sky and am reminded of the phrase "Let Freedom Reign." While freedom is not on the minds of many leaders in foreign countries, it is never the less what our country stands for. If you look at our past history and all the countries we have invaded/conquered and liberated, we have set the people free and have established democracy for the peoples of those nations. Our military presence which has remained in countries after our establishing freedom/democracy has been to ensure the maturation process of the freedom instituted, not to "keep the people" down. While we are not perfect as a nation or people by any stretch of the imagination we do however have better intentions and actions to follow up those intentions than any other country. Now I am sure some may respond to my comments with their own flames of anger, but as FREE Americans we have two choices, Love our country or leave our country and find one that suites our personal goals. To all this I say may God Bless us all and may God Bless America and guide us according to His Divine purposes.

I really wished war would not happen. BUT if I was to choose between my country and another, I'd be an idiot not to choose mine. God Bless America and all of us.

Thanks Dash. We horrible Americans appreciate your support. If others do not support us so what. They always come crawling back when they need something. Maybe we should cut off all our foreign aid and trade with unfriendly nations. See how long the world economy would last with out our help. We are either directly or indirectly responsible for 2/3 of it. That is what the hatred is really all about. Jealousy. The covet what they do not have.

I won't be the first to say that American foreign policy has been a running joke in the last few decades. The mistakes made in the past have cost them dearly. But 9/11 changed many things.. Including the ability to STRIKE BACK.. And I should say that I, being a Canadian, feel VERY STRONGLY, the a country DOES have the right to attack first if they feel threatened... So, if I may say: GO GET EM USA... GET SADDAM and his seriously evil henchmen before they get you..

Oh my God, are you serious, aren't you? The image is well done, although the flag is pixellated and the sky is a bit obvious, but the message (and, mostly, the comments) give me the creeps. So, let's celebrate all together the mass-killing show that's about to broadcast all over the planet.

The US installed Saddam, and installed Pinochet too. In the same fashion, a coup. (Saddam was in the military during the coup, but came to power years later as a direct result). What's the difference between Pinochet and Saddam. Both killed Americans. Both engaged in wholesale genocide of their people, while we did nothing to stop it. I'll tell you the difference. Pinochet did the bidding of the US government, and Saddam didn't. Responsibility and love of American principles means holding our politicians responsible and accountable for the principles that our constitution and country was founded on. Support the troops, they didn't make the decision to go to war. Success for the troops means they come back alive. But hold the politicians accountable to our American principles and don't let another Saddam happen again!

Unfortunately this war is not about Saddam and Iraqi Freedom, if you want to support the troops, then protest against the war bring the troops home. Stop this unjustified war now!!!

You should be working for the Ministy of Propaganda. Educate yourself. Seek alternate sources of information while you still can. The way things are going, soon you won't be able to and if you try you will be sent to Guantanamo Bay for trying to think for yourself.
