No it won't be free, and yes I originally started the project in xl7. The reason it won't be free is because of the lack of API functions for c4d xl. What they do have is old from version 6.x. Plus they don't plan on updating it. The result I got from a test run is rather an incorrect but good result. The parts in the middle and outside wall should have been perfectly aligned to the edge direction normal.
