Description
Just when I thought I had a handel on Vue. This background was a pain. How do you control fir tree height on the terrain ed? Ended up in PSP pushing the trees down. Also wanted tree line on big Mountain but gave up.

This is a great picture, just as is.

This looks very good, the background trees look better than anything I've gotten yet out of them. Good pic.

nice layout and good work! where do you get the firs in the foreground?

you could try alpha planes for this kind of background! nice picture.

I know what you mean about the fir tree height - last time I tried them, I ende up turning the picture into a fantasy Sci-Fi landscape instead! Don't think you've much to worry about here, though, even if you did have to use a bit of post - great scene.

You managed to do 2 things that I never could do in Vue. Make a realistic looking mountain in the background and use the far-away "trees" effect in the terrain editor. From what I've seen don't expect the "trees" effect to get any better then what you have done here. This is the first time out of hundreds of images I have actually ever seen the far-away "trees" effect actally look like trees.
