Well, as I said on your other image low light/night photography is difficult. The light patterns are wonderful, and I do agree with you that the composition may do better with a crop. However a more serious problem is the lack of contrast. It appears that your flash went off when you took the exposure or it could be a case of film reciprocity failure. I'm leaning towards the flash going off. Lack of contrast makes the image look flat and uninteresting, there by ruining it's effectiveness as a good image.
