Wow , I was In New York In 71 I think . We went to a Pe@ce March on the city . I never seen so many cops in my life We were just a bunch of kids from Jersey so to speak . Didn't even know what was really going on . We only knew we were cool .Anyway at the end of the March we were standing by the stage waiting for the speakers . John and Yoko walked right beside me . I froze could not believe what was going on. They were the speakers . The hole crowd sang the song with them at the end . Woof, you sure brought memories. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

zorares, peace isn't only defined by not shooting or killing - peace is also being free of pain in mind and spirit.... dictatorships like you describe are not in any way a definition of peace. I hope you find the true meaning. Great pic, Spidey!

I know what true peace is and it comes in many shades. Through my art and through the martial arts, I strive for peace of mind and through my religion, I strive for peace of soul. This peace I seek. I also seek peace where I, you, my family, friends, etc. can achieve peace and love with each other. So we can share, laugh and cry. This peace comes from you, and me, and everyone else willing to share peace. And it is wonderful. What I have learned from living under dictatorships in the Caribbean and under Communists in East Germany, is that there are people who simply don't want peace. They want power! Or they are just perverted in the brain. Otherwise there would be no war, no killings, robberies, etc. A perfect Utopia. And as long as there are these people, we who want peace have to realize that sometimes we have to fight for it, if not for ourselves, then for others! Otherwise, there is no peace!

Beautiful image. I love the angle and b&w. I'm not going to get into my views about the whole war thing. We are all a little on edge about that, whatever our beliefs are. As far as I see it....this is still an art gallery (not a message board) and this image is proof of why I keep returning. --,--@

Always good to see a peace sign. May all beings, in or out of the womb, be well, happy and peaceful.
