Description
My first test using the highlights filter, different strengths for different areas. Scene depicting a Gatling sentry gun where the crome would give a nice effect under GI and HDRI based on schoemann's preset. The slight floor shadow artefacts were a compromise between quality and rendertime (9 hours on my P4, 2.5 MHz). Have not yet figured out how to do the ammo belt, but will look into it.

Looks cool, I never used the highlight-filter... I think I must try out that. Excellent modeling, but now I am curious how it looks with the ammo belt! ThanX for posting! ~{o;)

Wow. Stunning metal effect! You could darken the muzzle and give the barrels that blueish turbulences they get after firing some hundreds of bullets. The tripod should be heavier and wider. Such a gun has a massive recoil.
