Description

In fact the title is a teaser as it is not possible to do a hdri render in Vue (since an object/image can not be a source of light). It could be seen more as a way to fake radiosity (reflective materials, reflecting an image which is place around the scene). See my other pics in that experiments. The gear comes from leocad (www.leocad.org), composed/textured/lighted/rendered in Vue (no postwork as always, but a 5h render in final resized to 800x600). This technique is very time consuming since I have a dome of light (16) which gives soft light; thats equivalent to much more normal light. I let you imagine that thing rendered in the best quality (quite impossible here). Thanks for viewings and commenting !

It has that nice brushed satin finish of brass with reflective filaments composed with a more fine abstract pebble grain of polished cast steel. The dark golden washes of zinc diecast also appear. It doesn't have the 2-D blazes and flattening of various glow schemes. Now all you have to explain is why someone would do that with plastic parts...??... It has machining forms on the "brass" so it isn't a vacuum flash plating. On it's way to becoming a uniquely computer finish never seen on material.
