Description

This is as far as I can get with this image, Vue keeps freezing halfway through. This is the first time I've had any trouble of that sort with Vue. It was rendered on superior setting at 300dpi with antialiasing at 20 and quality at 3/4. There are three lights with softness at 25. I've tried lowering the render settings to no avail, the file seems corrupted now,....the render freezes every time,..... and this is on a P4 2.5Ghz with 1Gb of DDR, oh well. Omega watch is by Francisco Barala Faura from 3D Cafe', can't remember where the floor tex came from. The red thing you might see reflected in the watch face is a Swiss Army knife. I'm bummed, this might have been a quality render. Damn !

Search the forum for posts by me Search for Wintop. Freezes? I've rendered a whole city of shiny buildings and freezes well It may seem like it but the reflecting off shinny stuff slows Vue to a crawl but it doesn't not freeze or crash it eventually does render, You got to have patience. You might want to check the proccessor useage by Vue before you conclude the program has stopped. Chances are it didn't freeze and you stopped it cause it was taking to long to render a single line. Or you killed it trying to get it to update the screen when it was infact calculating out that line. Like if you start clicking on things while it's rendering you surely can crash the program. Checking processor useage is the best way. There is a few links I posted to programs to check Vue while it's rendering. I use Wintop but there is plenty more around free too I might add. Try grouping the object to cutdown on the calculating. The reflections are killing it speed wise. And with three light sources. Well it's going to take some time for sure to render.

Despite all the problems you've faced, this really is excellent, it's way better than anything I could do. Realism is very astute, and texturing detail is gorgeous.

Excellent work. Just a perfect setup with great surfaces. But why 300dpi? Are you goint to print it? Dunno, could be the problem, depending on memory usage...
