not a bad picture all in all. Good to see that people are modeling things and not just relying on bought, or imported models all of the time. This does need some work and I'll do my best to elaborate. by the way, how long have you been using max? OK, the textures need the most work. Use reference photos to help you with what the panels look like for ships. The ones you are using are a good start, but you will need more variety. The ship looks pretty good, but it seems more like a low poly game ship than a highly detailed ship. It doesn't have a sense of scale. Try to model some extra panels, indentations and details to help bring this to life. The back of the shuttle needs much more detail, because it stands out for lack of detail. The hanger is good, but it looks more like plastic than metal. This may take some tweaking of your materials to get just right. Also, you might think of lowering the bump settings because it just doesn't look right. One more thing to add realism to your scene is to make things dirty. This is best done with custom dirt maps or even noise maps to start off with. All in all, good start.
