BIOHi and thanks for visiting my page ! My name is Dominique Panos aka bibografica, i am a 36 years old male living in the city of Salon de Provence, in France. I started to learn and got my degree in photography a long time ago ( 1986 ) and then got onto 3D modelling while i was living several years in Vancouver, Canada and Los Angeles; Back in my french city, i recently started to run my own business doing mostly advertising photography and some web design. Very impressive, strong scene. Somebody can say, he lacks foam on the water, but I think the ocean seems more darkly like this. I want to say I like your works very much, but usually I dont write comments, because I cant speak English well and it takes quite a long time to scribble something meaningful and Im not sure If Ive used correct words.

have you tried using a blend with you water as the base material, the foam on the second material, then apply a UVW map to the water and if you have Texporter, texport it using "W(mapping depth)" which will basically generate a topo map for your peaks and valleys, then in photoshop(or whatever you use), create a layer over the peaks and trace them and get rid of the rest... this will be the mask telling MAX where to allow your foam material to show... since this is a still(I'm guessing you're not taking it to animation), you don't need to do more than one mask... and you can use particles just for splashes and such... ;)
