Description

An interesting focus on the reflections and dynamics of the broken bottle. It's a relatively simple scene. I made it this way so as not to take too much attention away from the Glass. Please comment on what you think about it. Interesting or just too plain?

I suppose you have to make it plain to see what the glass does with the reflection. Too much detail around may take away from it. I love the broken bottle, the glass looks hand blown and old. I wonder what putting a sunset atmosphere would do to the reflection and gleam in the glass. All in all the more I look at it, the more I like it. Great work!

I think there are some problems of scale/perspective in the background; the turtle for instance seems to be enormous compared to the palm tree which is actually nearer to us than him, and of course the bottle is colossal in size. That said however, I think the image works well and is not at all too plain. The bottle which is the main focus of the piece is superb - I love the interplay of the reflections, refraction and shadows.
