I've never seen the cartoons, since they don't run in our country, but I guess he's a funny guy. Looks like photoshop coloring. If you decide to make him look more 3d dimensional, you need to work a bit more on the highlights and the dark spots though.

Your colours seem to have very little definition and very little relation to the shapes/curves in his musculature.
