Description

I know RR should be a sanctuary from the war, but I couldn't help doing this. I think it's important, not only to remember those who die now, but to remember the fallen of past wars and realise they are all part of the same thing. The weapons may change, but the results are the same. On the first day of the Battle of the Somme, the England lost 25,000 men. In 8 days of war in Iraq the coalition have killed thousands of Iraqi troops, militia, while taking less than 60 fatalities themselves thus far. What a contrast. We must not forget the true cost of war, be it from the perspective of an attack helicopter, or a muddy trench.

You're so right. We must never forget the generation who actually did fight for the liberty of the world. This modern war is an insult to all my family members who gave their lives to the first and second world wars. Thank you for posting.

Great pic Joe....I agree that no one must forget those who faught for our freedom that we take for granted...including with this current gulf war!!....salutes the brave men and women who fight for freedom and against terorrism and tyranny.....however I feel some people have missed that point....lol.
